Inpatient 

Our residential inpatient program lasts for 30 days. During this time, clients follow an immersive, comprehensive, and highly structured therapy schedule. This program will help you build new, healthy routines and skills that will support your recovery long after your discharge date. A typical day will begin with breakfast at 8:00 AM, followed by:

• 5-7 groups per day. Some groups are heavier, whereas others are more fun and light-hearted.
• Individual therapy sessions. You’ll meet with your assigned therapist regularly (e.g., once per week) to set and work toward your personal goals. This is a good time to discuss things you might not want to share in a group setting. 
• 3-5 outings per week. These typically include two 12-step meetings, a couple of wellness talks around the neighborhood, and at least one fun activity.
• Family therapy. When possible, Align strongly encourages family therapy sessions.

Inpatient clients live on-site at our center for the duration of the program, which is surrounded by 2+ acres of land, giving you plenty of elbow room. Indoor and outdoor communal spaces, comfortable rooms, and organic vegetable gardens are just some of the features that set Align apart from the rest.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Our partial hospitalization program (PHP) in Northern California is the next step down from residential treatment. This is an outpatient program, which means clients can live at home or in nearby sober housing while receiving therapy throughout the week. Depending on your needs, this program can act as an alternative to or a step down from inpatient drug and alcohol rehab. 

Virtual Care

Align Recovery Centers is proud to offer virtual care alongside our in-person treatment options. This makes it possible for people like you or your loved one in Contra Costa County to get addiction therapy from the privacy of their own home. For example, many people participate in virtual therapy after completing residential treatment to support their transition back into everyday life. Virtual care is also an important offering for loved ones joining family therapy sessions who do not live near Align Recovery’s in-person location.

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based approach to addiction treatment that combines medication for some types of substance use disorders with therapy services. While not everyone requires MAT, it can be highly advantageous for the right person. We offer MAT in Northern California, with a psychiatric nurse practitioner on staff available for medication management.
