Treatment Principles and Methodology
Co-occurring Disorders Therapy (Dual Diagnosis)
For the average individual suffering from substance abuse there are underlying causes which he or she may not even be aware of. Oftentimes the substance abuse disorder grew out of this underlying cause. Or sometimes a new disorder emerges out of the dysfunction surrounding the substance abuse, and then the aftermath of the new disorder is to reinforce the substance abuse as a way of coping. Align Recovery Centers seeks to deeply listen to and observe each client in an effort to truly understand what that client is dealing with rather than prescribing a one size fits all approach to every individual.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy
As a person thinks, so a person feels and behaves. We often miss the personal volition and power to choose that stands between stimulus and response. Cognitive behavior therapy helps to train the mind to slow down and realize that there are better and more rational modes of thinking than those we may have become so accustomed to that we play them out automatically.
Simply put, Evidence-based therapy refers to therapeutic approaches and interventions that have been extensively researched, tested, proven effective, and are supported by scientific studies and empirical evidence. By embracing evidence-based practices, we ensure that our clients receive the most effective and successful treatments available, increasing the likelihood of achieving lasting sobriety and a brighter future. Your well-being is our priority, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Experiential Therapy / Diverse Modalities
Not every individual has the ability to improve from treatment that is based in thought, word, and articulation. Each person is unique and consequently each disease is unique. Align Recovery Centers has found that there are modes of therapy that appeal to parts of the person beyond other than through speech. And for that reason Align offers an ever expanding array of evidence based treatments such as Art Therapy and Mindfulness Meditation. Align also strongly encourages recreation through physical exercise and sports and fosters this within our program. We are very proud of our commitment to food as medicine, the healthful meals we provide, and the ongoing training we offer for sustainably changing eating habits to cultivate a healthier overall lifestyle.
Individual / Personalized Therapy
We believe in the power of individually personalized and integrated therapy to guide our clients towards a successful recovery journey. “Individual / Personalized Therapy” refers to a tailored approach to treatment, recognizing that each person’s struggles, strengths, and goals are unique. Our team of experienced therapists work closely with our clients to develop a comprehensive understanding of their specific challenges and needs. By creating customized treatment plans and incorporating evidence-based therapies and techniques, we ensure that every individual receives the specialized care they deserve. Our commitment to individualized therapy empowers our clients to address underlying issues, develop coping strategies, and build a solid foundation for sustainable, long-term sobriety. Together, we’ll embark on this transformative journey, providing unwavering support and guidance every step of the way. Your well-being is our priority, and we’re here to help you reclaim a life of purpose and fulfillment.
Every person is different. Some people can simply make the decision to stop using and follow through, but some people are so addicted that they need chemical assistance. Align Recovery Centers has trained medical staff that can help accommodate our clients in need.
Many people have never told their own story, not even to themselves. They may not even realize they have a story. But each person has a truly unique, sympathetic, empowering story to tell. There is tremendous power in our ability to shape and tell our own narrative and narrative therapy with our trained counselors helps each one of our clients to practice the reshaping and retelling of that story in order to release bitterness, cultivate acceptance, and cultivate redeeming self-love.
